IDRAAC participated in the Third International Stakeholders Workshop of the TEC-MED Project as part of our participation in this pioneering initiative.

With the participation of all partnering countries, different stakeholders from the TEC-MED project participated in the hybrid workshop (online and in Tunisia) on July 27, 2022 under the Workplan 6: Progress and challenges in the Pilot and the Capitalization Plan.

The general objective of this workshop was to exchange the state of advances of the TEC-MED project with key stakeholders, and to update the capitalization plan.

The specific objectives were to discuss the following TEC-MED project activities:
State of play and challenges of the TEC-MED Model implementation;
TEC-MED Model validation and certification;
Update of social aspects of the capitalization plan according activities achieved during the last six months.
Participants were selected among the already key stakeholders identified by every partner country and involved in the project.

The workshop included two main sessions:
A plenary session with all project partners and guests
Parallel sessions within 6 virtual rooms (one by country) dedicated to a discussion with the stakeholders on challenges and how to overcome them and the social aspects of the capitalization plan
The results of each country’s discussions were shared after the end of the sessions with the group.

Lebanese stakeholders got the chance to share their feedback on different aspects and challenges faced during the pilot phase and share the advantages of the project to older persons and based on the diversity of their experiences, came up with solutions that might help training agents overcome their challenges.

In conclusion, the TEC-MED project is important to assess each countries’ needs and help partners find solutions based on the results provided.  It is not only a project, but provides a baseline to many action plans to follow in the future, with the intention to help older persons worldwide and improve their quality of life.
