Dr. Georges Karam from IDRAAC, President of Alzheimer Association Lebanon and Vice President of the Center of Studies on Aging, gave a presentation on “Trends in Aging and Health – Lebanon’s Country Profile”.

This presentation was given during the launch of "Global AgeWatch Insights, the right to health for older people, the right to be counted" and "Trends in ageing and health in Lebanon" reports as part of World Health Day to promote Universal Health Coverage, under the patronage of his Excellency Dr. Jamil Jabak, Minister of Public Health, Ministry of Public Health and HelpAge International and its members and partners in Lebanon.

The event was followed by a national panel discussion ‘Realizing the right to health for older men and women in Lebanon: Reality and Challenges’ and was organized in collaboration with the Center of Studies on Ageing, Alzheimer’s Association Lebanon, Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut, Imam Sadr Foundation, Amel Association and YMCA, with the support of World Diabetes Foundation.
