IDRAAC, in collaboration with the Municipality of Byblos-Jbail, held a press conference on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 11 AM at the Municipality’s Cultural Center in Byblos-Jbail to launch the “You Still Have Plenty to Give” Campaign in the framework of the European Union-funded "Elderly Empowerment Project." The conference was attended by the President of the municipal board Mr. Ziad Hawat, Dr. Elie Karam founder and president of IDRAAC, Dr. Georges Karam principal investigator of the project at IDRAAC and Mr. Gianandrea Villa, responsible of local governance and local authorities at the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon, representatives from different organizations in Byblos-Jbail, as well as a number of business owners and older adults living in Byblos-Jbail. The public awareness campaign, which addresses the image of the elderly in society, the importance of their social integration especially after retirement and recognizes the importance of their mental and psychological wellbeing, was launched during the conference. The promotional video of the campaign was also screened for the first time.
