The World Psychaitric Association has announced the election of Dr. Elie G. Karam as an honorary member during the General Assembly and the 23rd World Congress of Psychiatry held in Vienna, Austria, from September 28th to October 1st, 2023.

This decision was officially approved by the Executive Committee of the World Psychaitric Association and was ratified during the General Assembly on September 30, 2023.
