Dr. Aimee Karam, Adult Clinical Psychologist and Senior member at IDRAAC, participated in the American Psychological Association's (APA) yearly meeting  from August 9-12, 2018, in San Francisco, California where she was part of an international panel titled: "Conversation With International Leaders-Preparing ECPs and Students for International Engagement".

 

The focus of this conversation hour is to prepare psychologists for international engagement and work, especially for those who are at the beginning of their psychology careers.  The audience members of this conversation hour were students, ECPs and other psychologists who are looking to engage in international activities, and who want to learn from the leaders of international psychology organizations.  Students and ECPs were eager to know more about opportunities, challenges, and strategies while completing international psychology work (e.g., educational systems, general regulations, funding opportunities, applied work, etc.).
