200 male and 277 female undergraduates at the University of Kuwait completed the Death Anxiety Scale and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. Kuwaiti women had higher mean scores than Kuwaiti men on death and trait anxiety but were similar in state anxiety. Results are compared with previous research involving Egyptian and US undergraduates: The mean death anxiety score for Kuwaitians was close to that of Egyptians. Death anxiety scores between Kuwaiti and US men were similar, but not between Kuwaiti and US women.
