In Lebanon, older adults constitute around 10% of the population, and this is expected to increase to 26% by 2050 (UNDP, 2010). However, mental health research related to this age group in Lebanon is very limited. This pilot study was designed to study the following: (1) the rates of depression, anxiety, and memory impairment in a clinical sample of older adults (age 60+); (2) the socio‐demographic and medical conditions associated with these disorders; (3) the recognition of these disorders by the respondents and caregivers; and (4) the rates of current medication for these disorders.
