Abstract
In Iraq, children with mental and physical disabilities are unseen victims who have been detrimentally affected by war, rumours of war, conflict and violence for decades. This article focuses on the need for transformation of access to mainstream and early childhood development experiences for disabled children in Iraq. Recommendations and an action agenda are highlighted to inform and encourage policy makers to take action to ameliorate conditions experienced by disabled children in Iraq in mainstream educational environments.
