This study aimed to review 66 patients attending day hospital in Abu-Dhabi Psychiatric Hospital and to find out their satisfaction with and attitude to the service as measured by specially designed scale and comprehensive psychiatric assessment. The attitudes of families and medical team were also measured using rating scales to get more knowledge and information of values and shortcoming of quality health service run by this center. Results greatly favour day hospital as a substitute for in-patient setup and a place for appropriate training, treatment and rehabilitation as shown by results of attitude measure of medical team, patients and their families. A further improvement is hoped for in the future to enhance services and contain more patients and gain experience in day hospital setup.
