Discusses the use of the Joint Family Holiday Drawing art therapy technique in a family therapy context. As an auxiliary to traditional talk therapy, the family nonverbally completes a joint drawing on the theme of a family holiday. The case of a family comprising 2 parents and 2 daughters (aged 9 and 12 yrs) shows the use of the technique as a means to open discussion concerning family responsibilities and family positions
