Describes the revision process for the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC) Code of Ethics that was undertaken as a training exercise by students in the Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education program at the University of Colorado at Denver. Additions to the code were suggested in the sections for Client Well Being, Confidentiality, Media and Public Statements, Modern Communications Technology, Diversity, Guidelines for Groups, and Competence. Students suggested that this exercise was valuable to them in becoming familiar with their code of ethics, learning about writing and revising the code, and being active change agents in their profession
