Examined findings from the questionnaire results of 63 psychiatrists in Saudi ArabiSs believed psychodiagnosis to be a highly valued process before treatment. The results show that in spite of their theoretical orientation, Ss agreed that psychodiagnosis is the first step in the process of investigations of mental disorders. The study concludes that the treatment must be based on psychodiagnosis. To be highly valued by society, psychiatrists must take into account and operate in their psychodiagnosis within the socio-cultural context which plays a major role in mental disorders.
