Attempted to identify the psychological and social adjustment aspects of amputees of various ages. 51 amputees (aged 17-70 yrs) were administered Arabic versions of the MMPI, and Psychosocial Adjustment Scale. Results showed that the main findings for amputees on these measures revealed that younger amputees have significantly higher score regarding depression and anxiety disorders and are less able to adjust than older patients.
