Refutes the claim by Okasha et al (see PA, Vol 82:5526) that Arab patients do not usually have complaints of depressive, anxiety, or panic symptoms directly. Expressions of such emotions in the Arabic language, in references by medieval Arabic physicians, and in the teaching of the Koran are noted.
