The literature on somatic monodelusional (paranoid) disorders was briefly reviewed and a case who presented mainly with delusions of bromosis, referential trends, and depression and was effectively treated with trifluoperazine is reported. The various issues pertinent to this patient are highlighted. In view of this clinical case report the liaison between somatic specialists to whom such patients primarily consult for their treatment and mental health professionals was recommended.
