Studied the extent to which participation in an aerobic program altered some psychological variables and body weight, using the pretest-posttest technique with 56 obese adolescents. This is in addition to studying the relationship between increased weight (obesity) in these Ss and the following variables: tension, depression, neuroticism, aggression, and sensory search. Aerobics is practiced to reach different goals; for example, it is a means of psychological guidance and treatment, especially in reducing cases of tension and depression, the negative aspects of being exposed to extreme stress. There were differences in favor of Ss who practiced aerobics (posttesting) for tension and depression. A positive significant correlation was observed between obesity and tension, depression, neuroticism, and sensory search.
