Investigated differences between 2 matched groups of 29 male stutterers and 29 male nonstutterers on anxiety, depression, intelligence, and self-concept, as well as the intercorrelations among these variables within each group. Ss were examined and enrolled in therapy sessions, with an average of 30 sessions per S. A 5-level depression criterion was formed using the Beck Depression Inventory. For the variables examined, difference between the 2 groups were found only for depression and anxiety.
