Throughout May, Mental Health Awareness Month, IDRAAC is organizing a series of Live events on our social media platforms.

On Wednesday May 19 at 8:30 PM, Dr. Aimée Karam and Dr. Georges Karam from IDRAAC participated in a live discussion on:

What are the mental health challenges faced by LGBTIQ+ people in Lebanon?
From family rejection, bullying online and offline, to homelessness.

Along with two special guests, Lary Bou Safi and Sandra Melhem, who shared their personal experiences, this special session has helped in having a better understanding of homophobia, transphobia and biphobia in Lebanon from a mental health point of view, where Dr. Aimee and Dr. Georges shared their clinical and professional experience.
