In view of the current COVID-19 situation in Beirut, IDRAAC has decided to plan its workshop with key stakeholders as an online meeting gathering stakeholders who are working on older age in Lebanon and the region.

13 stakeholders participated in the meeting along with Dr. Georges Karam and Ms. Lea El Korh from IDRAAC. The professionals were from various backgrounds: academic, non-governmental, governmental, medical, social, legal, and business which allowed for more diverse feedback and communication from different perspectives.

This meeting has allowed to:
1- Present the newly developed TEC-MED Model
2- Introduce the TEC-MED Platform
3- Present the Action Plan for the implementation of the TEC-MED Model
4- Gather feedback on the TEC-MED Model, Platform & Action Plan

Participants expressed interest in the TEC-MED model and platform and some were interested to be part of the implementation of the action plan and the piloting activities.

This meeting has also allowed the gathering of feedback on the model and platform as well as the piloting activities which were shared with the partners to direct future actions related to the project. It also helped in identifying new stakeholders who should be considered in the implementation phase and who might be interested to partner with us in the coming months on a national and regional level.

Following the meeting, an executive summary was shared with the attendees to reflect on possible challenges in the implementation and share suggested practices to optimize the piloting of the model.

This activity is one of several activities planned with stakeholders in the coming months.
