Legal Review of the laws Related to the Elderly in Lebanon
IDRAAC has completed a full legal review of the laws related to the elderly's civil status and mental capacity.
This review has covered all the laws in Lebanon as well as international standards, declarations and principles that govern the legal protection of the elderly.
In addition, comparative studies were done regarding policies that are adapted by other countries to protect the elderly population.
This review has allowed the identification of legal gaps and opportunities for amendments and guided the development of the draft law by IDRAAC.
