The South of Lebanon and the Southern Suburbs of Beirut Study
Date: 14 July 2007This Study was supported by Handicap International and European Commission Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO), and in coordination with the Higher Council for Children, Ministry of Social Affairs, was undertaken between the dates of January 2007 and April 2007. It aimed at assessing the psychosocial problems and needs of the school age population (preschool to Grade 12) in the areas severely exposed to the July 2006 episode of war. A comprehensive report about the findings and recommendations was delivered to Higher Council for Children , Handicap International, and other key organizations concerned with psychosocial activities in Lebanon, and a half day workshop with the concerned NGO’s followed on Tuesday July 17, 2007. |
